Terms of payment and refund policy
Please read these before you pay a deposit.
1. Key definitions
Program start date: This is defined as the earlier of the following two events: the date of your online TEFL course, or your intended in-country program start date.
2. Payment structure and deadlines
Commitment deposit: Commitment deposits are non-refundable but are transferable for up to one year from the date of payment. This is not an additional charge; the deposit amount will be deducted from your final program balance.
Final balance payments: Final balance payments must be paid in full no later than the due date shown on your invoice, unless specified otherwise by program-specific terms below.
3. Deferral policy (changing your start date)
If you would like to push back your program start date using your commitment deposit, you can do so only if you meet at least one of the following conditions:
- You provide at least 35 days' notice before your program start date.
- You request the change prior to contract acceptance.
4. General refund policy
If you choose to withdraw from the Xplore program, your eligibility for a refund depends on when you cancel:
- Withdrawal up to 35 days before your program start date: You will receive a refund for the final invoice amount, minus the value of the commitment deposit, accommodation fees, and any associated deferral fees.
- Withdrawal within 35 days of your program start date: No refund will be issued for the invoice or the commitment deposit.
- Withdrawal upon or after contract acceptance: No refund will be issued for the invoice or the commitment deposit.
Important note: Commitment deposits, deferral fees, cancellation fees, and accommodation fees are strictly non-refundable at any time.
